Skate Omaha was created for two reasons:
1) To fulfill my high school requirement of creating a project.
2) For those days when the weather in Omaha is being freakishly nice (i.e. 60°F in February), and you want to take advantage of the weather by skating an awesome spot.
So many times, I have wanted to go skateboarding and skate a really awesome spot. But more often than not, I end up either driving around aimlessly, and wasting gas while in the pursuit for an awesome spot, or, I settle for a spot that is sub-par.
I created this website/atlas/guide/maps for the skateboarders of Omaha, and even for those non-skaters who may take interest in skateboarding. With a user-friendly website, both on mobile phones and on desktops and laptops, this website will hopefully help the frustrated skaters of Omaha be able to fully take advantage of those days when time is limited, but you still want to skate. And heck, even for those nice days too.
